E85 Roof issue

I currently have an E85 that has its roof motor relocated by a well known specialist.

The roof unlatches and you can hear the motor working but it struggles to lower and is exactly the same when going up.

Before I take it to the specialist which is a 5 hour round trip are there any suggestions on what to possibly look for?

Thank you

Low hydraulic fluid? Or possibly it’s leaking the fluid, which would probably have been topped up the same time as the relocation.

Are you closer to Norfolk, Bristol or Lincoln?
We could maybe help you out?
It may be that the fluid is low, but from experience if it has a leak it will empty pretty quick, not continue to work slowly.
If the motor still sounds as though it is working the same then it could possibly be a weak pump?
Has it always been like this since it was relocated?
Usually the position of the motor in the boot is more angled than in it's original position. So simply filling the fluid to the '+' on the reservoir may still leave the ports partially uncovered.
I always stand it up vertically and 'fill to spill' before popping it back into the corner of the boot.

Thank you for the kind offer, unfortunately It is a similar distance either way!

Also worth checking that there isn’t any pressure on the by-pass lever. Maybe it’s slightly depressed and you’re not building the full pressure required.

Otherwise it’s likely that your pump is just getting weak, even though the motor is spinning it

There are a couple of other options if you are nearer to Durham or Hampshire.
