does anybody know how to define each key to the electric seats ? :?

I would like each key to move the seat to a stored position - I have seen a "how to" somewhere which shows how to do it but I cant think where ?

any ideas ??

Here ya go mitch:

1.ignition key to position 1 or 2

2. adjust seat to desired position

3. press the Memory button: the indicator lamp in the button lights up

4. press memory button 1,2, or 3. The indicator lamp goes out.

To select s stored setting:

Ignition key position 1:

Briefly press memory button 1,2, or 3

:)

I will add to what F&I stated that with the ignition in the run position or 2nd position you will need to hold the seat position button in until the preset position is reached.

F&I just noticed we have the same number of posts...

nice one - I can take it that far, but I read that there is a way that enables each key to do the same...

i.e open it with my key and it uses seat memory 1 and use the spare key and it uses seat memory 2 ?

or maybe I'm making it up ? :tumbleweed:

Oh, I didn't read that part I guess...sorry, need more coffee  . You have to take it to a dealership to have that programmed.

If my memory serves me right that is an option but must be setup by the dealer. Since I am the only driver of my Zed I did not investigate that possible option.

WLH - you're right - I asked repeatably for then to set the option in the car memory to enable the keys to do this and they havn't bothered :x

dealers :headbang:

That is a key programmable option that has to be done through the dealer (it cannot be done yourself). They may charge for this service, since they have to hook it up to their system to make the changes.

Funny, my key always remembers what position the seat is in when that key locks the door. It will not return it to a different position or even the position you have programed into the memory. It returns it to the position you left it in last time you used that key.

I seem to recall seeing in the manual that it was standard for each key to have diff memories for the seats. Heck maybe I should look again.
