Here's your opportunity to feel the power and hear the roar of the caged beast that is the Vauxhall Omega 2.6 v6!
Ok.. not really that powerful, and its more of a purr.. but you've got to try and get people excited..
It is a Vauxhall afterall!

I bought this simply to get me, four others, and a weeks worth of sailing gear for all five of us to Gatwick airport and back, as it was cheaper to tax and insure this for two months than the train and taxi combination (no, really).

It's in pretty decent condition. there's a bit of paint flex on the top of both the front and rear bumpers, (about 3-4 inches wide), but no dents or obvious scratches (may be a stone chip here or there - I didn't look that closely!)

It's got a 4-disc cd changer, electric heated seats, electric windows and sunroof, dual-zone climate control (that actually works), factory thatcham alarm and immob.
I have two keys, and a folder of paperwork.
It's currently taxed (not that that matters nowawdays)
and I believe it's MOT'd until September.

The only fault I'm aware of is a small exhaust leak between the downpipe and centerpipe.
Looking at it from underneath, it looks like the clamp between the two has corroded and it's worked loose with time.
I suspect it will need the bolts cutting off and replacing, but like I say, I've not done any more investigation than have it up and make sure it's not going to fall off.

It ran perfectly to Gatwick, then started first time and ran fine back home again a week later.
It hasn't used or dropped any fluids.

I'm still waiting for the V5 to get back from DVLA (5 weeks now!).

They're going for around a grand on Autotrader, and about £900 on eBay.
I'm looking for a quick sale, I'm happy to take £600.

Failing that, once the V5 turns up, I'll start listing it elsewhere, as it's taking up driveway space and I want to rebuild the kitcar whilst it's warm!

(I'll get mileage, pics and anything elselater today)

Hi I have an 03 Omega 2.2 Estate DTi bought from auction in Wales 4 years ago for £1300 to be a work horse general car for dump runs and like you taking all the gear to the sailing club.
In all the time i'v had it changed the oil twice 2 sets of tyres and an oil pressure sensor and never let me down always sailed through Mot's. Got to be the best value car i'v ever bought and not a sign of rust. Sorry to hijack your thread but as a work horse they are great.

used to love these as hire cars. Once took one down to the beach car park and practice a few doh nuts. :) (Never by an ex hire car)
