Fuel gauge problem

Hi,

My fuel gauge will not go directly up to full position after refuel on my 2009 BMW Z4. After refuel the gauge stop at the middle and will go slowly to the max position (about 25km/15.5 miles till it go to the max position).

Today I saw the warning light of low fuel. The remaining range was about 80km/50 miles. I was able to add 36L/9.5 Gallon of fuel. The max fuel in the Z4 is about 50?/13.2 Gallon.

Looks like there is a problem somewhere?

Anyone out there have the same problem. Any suggestion?

55 litres for all models.

Sounds like a problem.

The slow increase is defo' a problem. The amount that you were able to put in, less so. The 'mileage to empty' is always very pessimistic IMHO and was the same on my Cooper S.
