Halo lights?

I currently have the 2xcite halo lights fitted to the z4 which has the motors in them. These replaced a set of xenon headlights as they started to let moisture in and it ruined the inners. I had these fitted over 10 years ago by a local garage. They did have a few issues with fitting them as it wasnt quite a plug and play due to the car not replacing the standard Halogens. Im now having issues with the Halos and am thinking of just getting a set of standard Halogens off Ebay and fitting them as the xennons are quite rare and more expensive. If I did go down this route is it a straight forward swap? Has anyone done this? Or am I just better off getting another set of Halo's?
 
I think if you fit halogens you will need to swap the light control module to suit.
Even then I am not confident that your car will have the correct wiring in place to operate the levelling motors for the halogens
 
Yeh thats what Im afraid of. think it maybe easier to get another set of halos and just swap them out, and hope the wiring is obvious enough to alter them if need be.
