Misfire

So I have a E85 N46 2006 Z4 2.0i with a check engine light on and a misfire I have changed the sparkplugs
Ambitiously thinking this would solve everything. but it hasn't does anyone know what else I can check for?

I know I can check for air leaks but where's most suspect?
I don't really know much about engines but I would like to solve this myself as it is a "Project Car" as such

Swap the coil pack of the cylinder that's misfiring and see if the problem follows it. If it doesn't, then it's unfortunately time to do a compression test.

Ok I will try that i should also mention that when I had been clearing codes the engine light went off and misfiring stopped which originally left me down a rabbit hole of what sensors could cause this and had no luck

Do you have a code reader specific for a Z4? Or are you using a generic reader?
