Need your Help, BMW Brand Ragtop Cleaner

Hello all---

Ok got the BMW cleaner and soft top repellent today from dealer, The cleaner instructions is straight forward, spray on rub in, rinse---- But the Soft top repellant instructions say dissolve the contents of the bottle with 84.54 oz of water, Do you use all the bottle in one application? Or are they saying mix in a container and use what you need, How do you use the sealant from BMW?

Any help would be most grateful----Any ideas??

I used a quart container and diluted the correct amount in it. I sponged it on and then after 48 hours did another application. I have used both BMW and Raggtopp....I prefer the BMW stuff.
 
Thanks for the guide!! I mixed up half the bottle and sponged on the top---Drying as I type :D
You are correct, using the whole bottle in 1-application is 2-much, well that is why they charge 30.00 for the bottle,lol :roll:

Now I will wait and see if it beads water!

I have to admit that I made the expensive mistake last weekend of mixing the whole bottle. The result was a waste of product and of course money. Seems to me a third would be pleanty. I'm going to give a second application this weekend.

Too bad it's been too stormy/rainy/wet with chances of hail to get the Z out this week. What's up with this wet weather? Feb and March both set records for rain.

Yeah, it seems like it has been either rain or grey skies for months here (a little north of you). Hopefully it will break out of this funk and have some Spring/Summer weather real soon!
 
The BMW repellent is £19.99 = almost $40 on current exchange rates. It seems very expensive??? How often should this be applied? Is there any major differences between this and say Raggtopp?

I apply this twice per year, early spring and late autumn. I prefer the BMW stuff as it appeared to bead up the water quicker and lasted longer but not much difference actually.
 
Hi all---

The BMW cleaner and BMW dressing is a nice combo! Just finished my Rag, 03 ZED! I only used half the bottle for the application for the sealant!!! Mix per directions and results are nice beading! :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
