New Toyota MR2

Really hoping this happens especially as Toyota has vowed it will have a proper ICE, thank God.

Will be slapping the cash down if it does, within reason

Probably the end of the Supra then? Aka G29..

Is the world big enough for a Toyota Supra and MR2

Beautiful looking car, has a Lancia Stratos vibe to it.

Whether it will look like the image who knows. There's been a few variations floating around, all completely different.

Last time I was in an MR2 was 1996 when I traded it in for the new Audi A3 at the time :|

There's a vicious rumour that the MR2 will be joined by a new Celica too.......yum

I hope it happens :) It's good to see at least one manufacturer clinging onto proper sports cars than going electric. I guess it depends what the market is and if we get to see them here. If these models are marketed under the Gazoo Racing brand they won't be cheap though

That's a pretty little thing. 8) No doubt too small to get in.

Interesting the change of direction in relation to all electric plans. I do hope Mazda have a change of plan too, wrt to the future of the MX5.

Yes that will interesting on the MX5. I think Mazda have hinted it will be petrol but possibly mild hybrid. The problem they will have over the current model is keeping the weight down with any heavy hybrid system so they might struggle on the small lightweight theme.

Well the current model is the best yet, to drive. Though, for me, they could save a few kg if they got rid of the Sat Nav and ICE cr#p.

I hope Toyota make both of these. It'll make a change from all those SUVs and EVs most manufacturers are churning out!
