That's the first good looking MG for a long time - if they make any more!

It actually looks quite good, apart from the comedy rear end with the silly lights and the 'stagnant pond' green colour.

Still powered by a washing machine motor instead of the 'proper' way of using decayed dinosaurs and squashed trees.

It’s not a MG though is it!!
Unfortunately it is. They bought the rights to the name from BMW for about £5 IIRC, so it's an MG. Not built in Ock Street, Abingdon, admittedly.

The name MG was put onto many shite cars when BL/ Rover were in charge, so no difference really. MG Maestro, MG Metro, Rover 25, Rover 75, MGF, etc, etc.

Yes, sadly too true.

It's not. It is a car made by some random nameless Chinese company who bought the rights to falsely describe their cars as MGs despite there being absolutely nothing about the design or manufacture that links them to the old company MG.

Same could be said about anything with an MG badge made by BL from 1970 ish onwards (apart from the Chinese bit).
Happens a lot. Look at Bugatti, Maserati, Triumph motorcycles, the list is endless.

I disagree... BL were certainly using pre-BL designs... and probably equipment and maybe even the original factory. I don't expect companies to stay in the same ownership and on the same site with the same designers forever, but there is a difference between, evolving the old models and moving equipment and production within the same country, and making 100% new design cars on the other side of the world, with literally the only link being that you can prove ownership lineage of logo / brand / name from one company to the next to the next.
