I decided 5-6 weeks ago that I needed a toy car. RWD, 2-seat, Sports car were my only requirements. Being a Roadster was optional. A manual transmission was only a requirement for the Miata, and strongly desired (required) for the Porsche. The BMW and Mercedes are so rare to find in a Manual, I didn't even really consider it. I was also drawn to the idea of a DCT which I've never owned before.

Having owned a 2007 Mazda Miata, I started off looking in that direction, but didn't like its soft top. I decided that any convertible MUST be a hard top, so modern Z4s were disqualified as were Porsche Boxsters.
There was a gorgeuos Maserati Spyder local to me with very low miles and a Ferrari V8. I couldn't stomach the repair costs if anything should happen (and also a soft top).
A Porsche Cayman was the upper end of what I considered, and a hard top 2013-2015 Miata was at the lower end. A 2019 Mercedes SLC 43 AMG was a strong contender and I was close to ordering one from California and paying $2k to ship it. It would have been in the Porsche Cayman price range; hard to pull that trigger for me.

This beautiful 2016 BMW Z4 35is won out in the end, and was only 2 hours away. I picked it up on July 5th. I plan to keep it stock as it's fast enough for me. Time will tell if I hold to this :p

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Your car looks great, especially with that interior!

If it still has run-flat tyres you might want to swap them for normal tyres as those wheels seem to be prone to cracking. :(
