PCP and Insurance query

Your help and advice appreciated

My son has an car on a PCP agreement. (a very nice 3.0L Audi A5) When he bought the car he was mid term on his car insurance and just changed the details over.
Now at renewal, unsurprisingly it has gone up considerably.

However on looking on comparison sites for a more competitive price he's noted the question 'who owns the vehicle?'
This is the finance provider - he is the registered keeper on the V5 document
At this stage most of the companies web based quotation processes give up or don't provide the correct option in the drop down box
Most ask is it a lease, company car etc.

The previous V5 (to his current one) lists the Finance company as the owner. On the new valid V5 this information is omitted

Has anyone else come across this issue?
Is the answer talk to a human?

TIA

Usually if a car is on pcp then the owner is you. If leased, the owner is the company that's letting you drive it.
