If I post some that catch my eye in this thread, will you be so kind as to give me your opinions please?

Also how much you think I should offer if interested?

Here's the first one that's caught my eye...

Going through the insurance quote, it says it's only valued at 8.5k - should that be a worry?

Is iDrive different to satnav? (It is listed as having a satnav.)

Edit: I must be seeing things, can't see any mention of satnav now :/

From the video you can see it has no satnav, there is a button on the flip up cover and no rotary switch next to park brake.
Advert description says "Navigation", it hasn't.
Go see them, be disappointed there is no nav as stated then talk them down.

iDrive is the whole "infotainment" system I believe, which includes some vehicle settings, car status, navigation, etc

If they were selling in April, they might, possibly get £9,500 for it.

This time of year, £8,500 is about right. Perhaps a little less.

Hugely overpriced, I picked up a full option 35i with 24k on it for £13k last summer!
I would be offering no more than around £6/6.5K on that spec
No iDrive - No mirror fold switch on drivers door! never seen that missing before!
Love the nickel wheels though

I'd say that's over priced - bought mine a month ago, 14,600 on 2016, 2.0s, with iDrive, 1 owner, full BMW history, 32k on the clock, four new bridgestones from a dealer with warranty & finance package

It's a 23i, plenty of them around plus no iDrive no folding mirrors no wind deflector plus 60K miles, I don't see the car at anymore than 9K GBP 8 to 8.5k GBP would be better as others have said. Looks like the car came with the basic satin silver interior trim pieces and someone has had them sprayed black, looks good I think.

Looks a tidy z4,should be around £9 to 9.5k with a decent warranty .Some of the proposed prices on this thread are
fantasy or cat cars prices.

Thanks for the replies everyone - very helpful knowing your thoughts :D

Was that a private seller or from trade?

There’s a classified section on the forum, if you look through previous sales on there it will give you a good idea of what cars are valued at. The ones that are overpriced don’t tend to sell

Its definitely worth waiting around for the right car OP. £15k should get you in to a nice 35is at around 40 - 50k miles. The one you linked has some of the worst alloys I have ever seen, additionally no wind deflector, no idrive / sat nav....

If you wait a little you can get in to a really nice 35is for £15k

Waaay too many. Pick a spec you want - engine size and trim level, pick a small range of colours you like and discard the rest, otherwise you can't make a meaningful comparison and as you've found, you'll tie yourself in knots.

I'm with Z4Pilot, decide what enginne size you want , then your 'Must Have' options., colour etc.
Then search for the lowest mileage, best service history, other options
Be prepared to walk away unless it has most of what you want...
Nothing worse than that 'i wish i had got one with that' feeling.
After i sold my 35i i regretted it almost as soon as it drove down the road and started to look for another.
it took me almost 2 years to find my 35is...but....it has everything on my check list and a few more toys i didnt consider important.
There is always 'another' car.....
Good luck with your search
Mike
