I'm so excited......

Am I the first?

With the announcement made last week of the Z4 M40 Manual now being available to order in all colours and interior options, I spent Friday night building what I wanted, in the colour I wanted (or not :poke:). Sent it through to Listers Boston on Saturday afternoon and this morning they came up with a deal that I could not turn away from.

So it's sapphire black, the cognac/black interior and with comfort and tech packages, delivery in May/June. The only thing I'm not keen on is the 20" rear wheels with 285/30 R20 profile tyres and back to Michelins, booo.

Did I say I was excited :D

Looks nice, but am I reading this correctly? 20" rear wheels implies they are bigger diameter than the fronts?

Also, why wait for colour options and then not choose one. :poke: :D

And it is black Sapphire :poke:

You are welcome to join my harem by the way, manual box - only decent model to get

On the 19" they always were 255/35 R19 & 275/35 R19 so about 14.0 mm larger and now 18.0 mm larger diameter. Who said black was the only colour :D

Tomatoes :P

And that's what I was thinking, I plan to keep this one, thinking it will become a collectors car one day, that's my rationale

And thanks all

Ah, I see, i thought you meant the rear wheels were a bigger diameter than the fronts.

Black is not a colour though...................

Pay attention silly, that's exactly what I meant, 19" x 9 front and 20" x 10 rears, so its 255/35 R19 and 285/30 R20

Well that's odd isn't it?

Have you had a test drive in a manual M40i. If so how does it compare to your auto?

I have not driven a single car that was not significantly more pleasuarable to drive with a manual gearbox, so I imagine it to be day and night

Or not

It's difficult to get a test drive when no one has any to test drive  I kind of agree with [ref]pvr[/ref], my first two zeds were both manuals and I wouldn't be surprised if the e89 manual is the same gearbox as this. As a regular motorway driver I'm not looking forward to stop start traffic on our congested, and full of road works, motorways, but everything else I am positive will be better.

One thing I do like, on a forum for sports cars, full of men, it's a woman that's purchased the first manual M40i 8)

Congrats, that looks great, time will drag now

Thanks guys, I'm hoping time won't drag as I already have a zed, and this is the first time I've had two cars of the same make and model
