Guys im so so so excited and scared!! lol!!

After over a decade in the health care sector i decided id had enough of being under funded and dealing with constant crap from having over 700 staff, the business was massive, we literally work day and night. I will always be grateful for the last half of my life which has been very fortunate and thank god and my mom for the chances i have received especially where i grew up the future seemed bleak....

Anyway my dad was a tech at dennis welch racing , then later became a master tech at ford, he taught me everything he knew, from a young boy ive loved all things motor car, and towards the last part of my life have been able to own some truely drool worthy machinery.
Behind the scenes ive been training to install vinyl wraps etc etc and i still learning every day, working hard to literally perfect the craft, their ill be other services offered eventually like detailing etc which ill be going to some very serious training for, but my eye for perfection and OCD attention to detail seems to really suit vinyl / PPF wrap and particularly detailing and paint corrections.... ive got a good few pieces under my belt now. Im really comfortable taking the cars to pieces thanks to a life of working on cars with my dad so this has really helped get these wraps etc even more seamless! After a conversation with a local ford dealer ive already managed to secure a deal where ill be roof wrapping the cars that are sticking around to help them shift them, and currently i have so many people that want work done im not sure where to start!!!

So i THINK ive secured a unit where ill be working on a day to day basis in walsall, and im super excited to be able to run little cars and coffee events from the shop, ill have a ramp so will let people use the ramp on those events, im just super excited to be heading into the sector, im pretty certain ill never be rich, but if i can make a decent living , and do something where im working with a true passion of mine, thats OK for me!! i use the absolute best tools and best materials and i wont be knocking these out ten to the dozen but taking my time, offering the best i can do, of course as time goes on i will get better and quicker, and i will always be trying to perfect this craft i know i have a LONG way to go!

Ill be doing a full video on the z4m which will be getting PPF ( paint protection Film) , so wish me luck guys!!! im going to need it!!! i cant wait to do a cars and coffee event at the shop this spring where ill stick a panel on the wall and let everyone have a play with some scrap material too.

Heres the bonnet work ive just completed on my ST which really came out gorgeous and will probably become a really marketing tool for the business, again more to come as the development comes to an actual shop opening.

im also going to be wrapping and PPF bikes , push bikes, and whatever weird and wonderful thing comes in!!

If anyone has any tips for me, nows the time guys!!! success or not, i want to try going completely alone in my own lane.

the Z4 would be a Great car to work on, once im setup, pop in if your local and maybe we could put something together

Oooo very interesting, I’m in Kidderminster, so not far from Walsall. I left a career in banking 4 years ago, now running 2 businesses with my brother and have never looked back, good luck to you!

My paint works not 100%, it’s excellent for a 2003 but have thought about wrapping it.

Good luck with the new venture Beedub. Certainly a huge change from care homes. With your perfectionist streak, engineering talent and a lot of hard work, I'm sure you will make a success of it.

Good luck with the new venture, sounds remarkably similar to what I'll be doing myself when I finally get the keys to my 1500sqft unit in Haydock next week, specialising in work on Z4's no less..

Cheers m8. I went for a council owned unit, as apart from being more secure, it cost around the same as a 550sqft one in the private sector.

If they are anything like my local councils, I just did a search for St Helens Council Estates Dept. They had a webpage with units to let. I was lucky with mine as they tend to go quickly, BUT the estates dept lettings guy had recently left, so there was nothing on the page. I ended up having to phone them about 10 times to get a response and a list emailed over, but at least "other" people couldn't see what was available, so I had a good choice.
