Water ingress

What are the usual culprits of a wet passenger footwell carpet? Looks like it’s getting in at the front bottom end (hinge end) and the carpet under the seat is dry

The membrane in the door is intact with no obvious holes and appears to be stuck down still.
Roof drains are clear
Window is up and lifts correct when the door is shut.

It’s almost as iff the door isn’t closing onto the seal properly

Double check the membrane. About 6 inches back from the front lower edge the door metalwork dips inwards and the membrane often just lifts away there. Easy check, door open and run a hose along the base of the window to see if it comes through.
Failing that, take the scuttle panel off and see if it's blocked up with debris. If so, then the water can get in around the seal where the pollen filter inlet is.

Yeah deffo sure but it’s not a huge issue to double check. With the scuttle panel do you mean the one that exits down into engine bay and the one that exits sideways?… pretty sure I did them but again easy check.

I did wonder about that pollen seal as I’ve read about it before ..

Yes, you need to remove the panel that covers the wiper motor, and ensure all is clean and not blocked under there.

As I thought it’s all flowing well off the scuttle, I replaced the wiper mechanism spring ish and had a good clean around.

Also pried the seal back a bit on the window and got the hose on it… defo not leaking through the membrane.

I understand the seal around the windscreen along the bottom edge can also leak so you could try some clear sealant there.
