Two Friday's ago, I took the front bumper cover off and took it to a painter to be reworked.

Much damage and rework later, I got a call this last Friday saying it was ready to be picked up.
It looked brand new......

Spent the last two days getting it on. Doing other things also.

I asked my rep at the refinishers how long should I wait until I able to wax it. He says I should wait 60 days. Don't even wash it.

Is this normal? Or was he being just wayyyy safe?

I do understand that it does take some time for the paint to cure completely, but 60 days?
 
Fortnight, then only light contact..no polishing or med to hard buffing. Wait for 30-45 before any attempt of waxing or Zainoing. In the meantime,
gently wipe to clean and leave alone. When you park it, park it so the front gets the best sun exposure
