Anyone intereted in having a z4forum meet?

a cpl of ppl have indicated willingness to travel/interest in this.

I was thinking of june/july/august this summer,and anywr from scottish borders/north england,or manchester,etc,etc.
Open to any ideas/what suits the majority, happy to travel(eg manchstr/lvrpl is 4-4 and a half hrs from me).

Any suggestions for good meeting places, with decent parking/food and possibly a nice drive after??

UPDATE TO THIS POST; PLANS WELL UNDER WAY FOR THIS NOW

INFO REQUIRED: WE WILL BE STAYING AT(MAINLY) EITHER THE CROOKLANDS HOTEL,KENDAL AND EITHER THE WATERS EDGE OR LITTLE ACRE CAMPSITES,which are all very near to each other;ie walking distance/across the road from (for those wanting to stay in tents, like myself, and most others/so far).

ON THE SATURDAY WE WILL BE MEETING TO GO A DRIVE IN THE LAKES,AND THE DALES ON THE SUNDAY

FOR FULL/MORE INFO,PLEASE GOTO PAGE 15 OF THIS THREAD,THANKS :driving:

I'd be up for anything like this. Make a weekend of it. Possibly camping somewhere or B&B for the wimps.
Probably suggest one of the North areas of the Peak or Yorks Moors, so you can draw member max area in.

Avoid late July/August as you get into the holiday season

Sounds ideal to me. Would have to be a weekend in the locations you mention to make it worth the journey for everyone. I realise I'll be looking at a 4hr plus journey anyway, but if it's a big national meet then count me in.

Oh, and camping would be a laugh! I'm getting used to camping from a van, so trying to squeeze everything into the back of a car again would be fun :)

Camping ? Can't we just drive solidly for 3 days ? :driving:

I was thinking about organising a driving day out soon, roof is coming down more and more the last couple of weeks, so a day in Spring would be lovely.

Z4 Runs =

I think i did 4 or 5 last year and each one was excellent (especially Sammyz and mine ;) ) Ill go out of my way to try and get on any organised around the midlands/northish :)

Ohh and camping would be fun!

This sounds like a good plan. June or Early July works best for me.

Camping would be cool! :D

Would not mind going myself, only I think older members (me) would rather stay in a hotel :)

If in June will have to avoid le mans weekend :) Otherwise im up for a few days of driving fun (+ hotels)

Id be up for something if the dates work :D

haven't camped for years and I'm getting a wimp in me old age, so hotel/B&B for me (esp if Mrs gannet comes along...)

Last year's run out was alright!

(P.S. can someone shrink Kryton's sig?! It dominates the entire page!)

Sounds like you have some real interest Criag :D

I suggest camping as if the weather is good it makes a great start/finish to a day with a large group, BBQ, camp fire, couple of beers, etc. for Saturday night. Usually a B&B or hotel in the area for he wimps, but in Summer it's a lot of fun. I'd go for meet up on the Friday night, optional camp or meal out and then all set for a prompt Saturday start, depart home at leisure Sunday afternoon after a second cruise around.

Do this several times a year with the Jeeps and we loooooove it, being a fairly well tried and tested formula, oh and I think I'm edging towards that older grouping now :)

Cheers for the ideas.c10jpr/etc
I am happy to go with the majority/but tbh would prefer a b&b,given our unpredictable british wthr  (and got no camping gear)

If we could do a list of potential places and dates that suit ppl,tho how about end june/early july;as wil be getting married at end may,2wks honeymoon start of june :D

Lets do votes for places/dates/camping/b&b's,etc
Also,as i am coming from scotland, suggestions for good/scenic drives all helpfull. Cheers

Good,good
the more the merrier :D :driving:

Have looked into the peaks,etc.
for myself(and any1 else from west coast scotland??),the peak district aprox 4hrs30mins from me,and the yorks dales 4hrs,tho north yorks moors is over 5hrs;so either of the 1st 2 for me

Any more ideas welcome tho :D

I am definitely interested and am flexible with dates. Carlisle night make a good venue although I do appreciate it may be too far for those travelling North. It’s approximately a 2hr drive from Liverpool, 2hrs from Glasgow. 3hrs from Birmingham. Anyone wishing to go camping could do so in the Lake District which would be half an hour away and for those wishing to stay in accommodation, then they wouldn’t need to leave Carlisle. Those are just some thoughts but I’m prepared to meet up wherever the majority decide and it’s within an acceptable distance for Craig, being as it was his idea after all.

Yeah(wayne),the Lake district had crossed my mind too as a meetn place?

Do ppl want to add their names to the list, with their preffered dates/venues,and we can take it from there. cheers  :driving:

Im in, camping would be........interesting (boot size tent stove sleeping bags etc.. :? But willing to give it a go
