Sorry it's taken longer to pull this together than I intended, life keeps getting in the way of my life on here...
For those travelling to Wales on Saturday 11th April, the plan is to wend our way across the country, picking people up on the way. In the first instance this thread is just to gauge who and where - I've not looked at timings yet, but will get to that in due course. I'm assuming that the Essex, Herfordshire, Buckinghamshire members will go north round the M25 and collect each other then meet us on the other side of the M25, however if you want to come south then that's just fine.
We'll basically be touring services until we get somewhere near / past Swindon, at which point the plan is to re-group and go off-motorway for a mini-hoon around the Cotswolds. Once I've found out where they are I'll draft a route - if anyone local wants to hook up with us and help with that bit then I'd be very happy as I don't know the roads and it will be a Saturday afternoon by then.
So the main stops will be Clackett Lane, Cobham and Reading Services - at the latter I am anticipating hooking up with the Essex & Home Counties lot then travelling further en masse. This could take us a while, once we stop, meet, chat, relieve ourselves and then leave... Plus 'waiting' for people once we get on the motorways again - hence the 'mini' hoon. We'll need a place to stop to regroup past Swindon - suggestions welcome, as I've not thought that far yet
There could be one more stop at the beginning at Gasoline Alley at the beginning of the M26 if anyone wants to join us there, but I think only Jan and I are coming from down this way and we'll meet in Maidstone.
Your first task then is to let me know on this thread which of the above services you'd like to join the convoy at. I'll collate the responses in this post whenever I get a chance. And I'll work on timings and hoon route over the weekend. Hopefully

Lots of slack built in for getting into services, finding each other, quick natter or toilet stop then off. And we'll also not be blasting round the M25, too many cameras that I think are pretty much all set at 70mph now when the variable speed limits are off
If we're at Beaconsfield early that's fine as it'll be time for a coffee. We'll aim to leave Beaconsfield by 1030.
