Newark convoy for zed fest

Me and the missus are staying in Lincoln for 3 nights and are coming to the Zedfest on Sunday.
I have not picked the route yet, tend to pick quieter country lanes (more fun
).
Was going to set off from City Centre about 8:30am, should give way more time to get there think its only about 55 miles.
I have an open mind if anybody wants to meet up along the way.

Eveninks. We are staying right in the centre of Lincoln not far from the Castle and cathedral.
Have you picked a route?
Not that many indirect country lane routes, fastest being A46, A52, A453 then A6.
But if you prefer back lanes the A612 from Newark through Southwell and rejoining the A46 after Gunthorpe is a nice road and then stay on the A46 and cut across country through Widmerpool, Costock and Zouch to Hathern.
If you fancy meeting on route we could meet at Sopers BMW, it's only a 100 yes off the A46 on your route.

Not sure which way my sat have will take me from Lincoln. I checked last night and it says 52 miles on A roads about 1 1/4 hours. Will be setting off about 08:45 is so may bump in to you along the way..............
