So I had a paint correction detail carried out a few weeks ago by Jim at Definitions Detailing in Farnborough https://www.facebook.com/Definition...30/photos/?tab=album&album_id=761194810695270.

The swirl removal was quite remarkable (see the 50:50 photos), and amazing how much depth the black now has! I was really impressed with my experience. Jim's attention to detail is brilliant and he was very flexible with meeting my requirements. He's also very well priced as he's got low overheads to cover. It's brought the car back to life :D - I would highly recommend.

Looks great!! Do you mind if i ask you how much (PM if you prefer) it cost to have it all done? I am very tempted to get my car paint corrected. My Zed is also black and riddled with swirls.

Nice, will have to bear that in mind as I'm local. Now get yourself signed up to the The Surrey/Berks/Hants Driving Club! :D

Looks really good. How do you plan to keep it swirl-free? Did Jim give you any tips to maintain?

Flimper beat me to it! Hopefully I will see your name on the club members list soon

Thanks, very pleased with the result. The main tips were the usual; snow foam, two bucket method with grit guards, good mitt and decent shampoo. Also said to 'pat' dry with microfibre towels - avoiding wiping as much as possible.

And indeed I've signed up to the club.

Yep the usual then..everything I already do :) . It's interesting because the detailers I have used advise against 'pat drying' (but I still do). I feel it must reduce the chances of inflicting scratches compared to dragging a drying towel across your paintwork.

Good man - PM me your mobile number and ill add you to the group chat.

That is a great detail. I think that you can only get results like that on a black car. I am very tempted to treat mine someday.

My Coupe definitely needs some tlc to bring the paint back like this. Is it expensive?
