Hi Everyone, it has been a while since I arranged one of these so I thought it was time to "get back in the saddle"!

I am interested in buying one of these Soft Top Covers and wondered if anyone else was interested too. For any of you who don't know what a "Group Buy" is, we do them from time to time for various Z4 products and try and negotiate a discount based on the volume of our order.

Here is a link to the product:

Here is a link to one of the discussions on the Forum about this cover (I'm sure there are many others):
http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=60535&p=893990#p893990

It retails at just under £100 (including delivery). I am happy to negotiate with the retailer once we have final numbers on how many people are interested in buying.

If you are interested, please add your Forum name to the list and also indicate the colour and whether you want "reflective piping" and/or "tax disc" window (those all cost more). I'm after the standard cover (in black) and if possible, we should try and keep the order the same, as from past experience it can get complicated when everybody requests something different.

When you add your name please copy and paste the last posted list and put it in your reply so that it carries forward...thanks.

Happy shopping!

I was a member of the Arizona Z car club and a most of the others used a a car cover quite similar to what you propose. Definitely a smart move.

The ones we had were from Roadster Solutions in the USA, they have one for roof down only and another for roof up protection, the roof down is about $75 and the roof up is $139.95. so no advantage to buying in the USA with shipping costs etc.

Marco I recently contacted them about a group buy as I wanted one but they weren't interested at all they wouldn't budge on price which I did find strange but they turned me down flat!

Thanks for the heads up, that's strange. Oh well let's give it a while, see how many orders we get and I can try contact them with final figures and see what they reply. At that point we can then make a decision on what do, perhaps look at alternatives (if there are any)?

Why? Soon you won't need to display one. Great thing this ANPR system

That was my thinking but I currently park my car on what I think might technically be a road, so I might cause problems if I'm not displaying.

It is quite out of the way so it probably won't be a problem but I don't generally have great luck.

I probably won't bother tbh.

Hi guys

I've been pleased with the way my Cabrio Shield has performed since I got it last year. My car is outside all the time and when leaving it for more than a few days I make use of the cover - UV protection (when we see the Sun!) and protection from the recent heavy rain. The picture shows the cover in action during the snow showers last year.
Good luck with the group buy.
