Chosen by TopGear as the best road in the world. This is me 2 weeks ago, camera car is an R32 Golf. Also in convoy Lotus Elise S1 135 Anniversary and Mazda RX8 (which you can't see). First half of the video is better.

Also what a coincidence we all set off under hard acceleration at the same time. His is the MK5 250bhp DSG version, still slower than a 3.0i Z4 :D

Great vids, got to do a Euro R/trip sometime and that road would be one to do

P.S What type of camera mount was been used just out of interest.

Top Gear would have you believe they have found the "World's Best Driving Road" every series I think.

First it was Davos to Stelvio via Bormio (Stelvio Pass) - I think on the same programme they initially said the San Bernadino Pass was the best - and then it was somewhere in Romania.

I'm down that way in August and planning on doing the Stelvio Pass again, but might just have to try the San Bernadino as well so thanks for posting the video!

FWIW i agree with you. Slightly too narrow and not enough fast bends to be 'the best' but excellent scenery, its like being on another planet up there! We also did the road leading out of Davos towards Stelvio and that was equally good. Stelvio itself was crap as a driving road.

Not sure, will ask my mate. He borrowed it but was really impressed with it, allowed us to take loads of footage.

The R32 was running a Miltek exhaust btw 'mmmmm'
