FYI, just seen this on the BMW Car Club forum. I'd take advantage of it myself, but the Z4MC uses so little oil that I've still got 11 litres of the stuff from when I last took advantage

Just bought some oil 2 days ago! :(

How often will the car need a 1 litre fill do you think?

Mine's only needed 750ml in 6000 miles! Plus I've just done an interim oil service too.

Hmmm, so not really worth me bothering storing 4 litres then with the Si! I do about 8k a year max! (Although that may well change with the Z, as I love it!)

I bought mine mainly for the interim oil changes as I was doing 20,000 miles a year.

Might take up on this offer as my service is due in 2 months or so.

Can you refresh my memory what the code required for the M is again?

My dealer does fixed price services... Will they discount for supplying my own oil do you think? (Oil service is £159 iirc)

I know a few guys that do that at the dealer where I go. They probably think I am a complete nerd bringing my own oil, but I won't give them the option.

Don't forget that you have to be a joined up member of their list to be able to get the first 10%, then you use the code to get the 15% extra (code is entered after you checkout).

Just have a look at the list of forums/clubs that OpieOils support and you'll probably find one that you're a member of anyway. IIRC they ask that you put your forum name in the registration.

Yep, Opie Oils are registered on a few forums I use. I think they're on PH anyway, aren't they?

I am a member of BMW GB anyway. Just thought that my X5 only has 1 service light on as well, so might as well combine the order.

Will get the list sorted for the order tomorrow.

With the track work I do, I end up making intermediate oil changes between oil/inspection services. So my Z gets an oil change every 5-6,000 miles or thereabouts.

This will be very handy tho! :) Thanks for posting that up :D

Is that right? 10W-60 for the M? Will need to check the car but can't be bothered to walk to it ...

10w60 is correct for the M.

How easy is it to do an oil change yourself? Wouldn't mind doing interim ones if it's easy enough.

You can get an even better deal on the oil by buying the service packs.

You get 2x4 litres of the correct oil, plus a filter (which you don't have to use) all for £10 cheaper than 2x4 litres of the oil on its own, and you can still add the discount code on at the end!

Seems cheap!

Need to tell them that it isn't 25% off though. It's 10%, then 15%, which does not make 25%. Cheap still though!! Makes the £16 I paid for 1 litre look ridiculous!!!
