Scottish Highlands Road Trip 09

Finally got the pics sorted from my epic roadtrip last weekend.

I'd planned the route just after Christmas, based on roads I'd driven before, linked together with some new ones. Then it was just a matter of getting everyone together and arranging the accommodation.

I cannot tell you how good this trip was, the pics just don't do it justice at all.

Anyway, see for yourself.

Day 1 - Lancashire to Stirling - 270 miles

After meeting up on the M6 in Lancashire we headed for the Yorkshire Dales, north into Cumbria, then across country in the Scottish Borders, to Stirling.

Day 2 - Stirling to Tongue - 300 miles

Unfortunately Sean wasn't feeling too well this morning, so Alan and him made their own way directly to Tongue, while we headed north via the planned route.

Wow. Great looking trip! Planning a Scotland road trip for June. Just me and the lass. Any tips for must drive roads? Looking at the picks it looks brilliant.

Could be right on it not being an A-road, but I certainly drove it last year! Somewhere heading north towards the Inverness/Nairn area IIRC. Nope, not had any sort of drive/meet with Z4-forum - roadtrips with other forums/mates
