So who has been driving in the snow ?????

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! My car is in the garage complete with it's Wintrac tyres, I'm driving an Eos with rubbish summer tyres

I've been to work but it's not so bad yet. Our estate proved entertaining this morning and some of the roads are lighting up the traction control icon but it's not that bad if you just drive slower.

I drove my Z earlier this year in 2in of snow; with the stock run flats.

TC off, Sport mode on and the accelerator to the floor...... and the car moved about 1cm forwards!

Taking it slow and steady certainly wins the race in the snow!

try driving the blueflash in anything other than perfectly dry roads...

its how id imagine a tvr to be driving on ice. bloomin LAIRY

Haven't experienced the snow in my Zed yet. As it's currently my only car, I will post pics of the wreckage later in the year :D

Any (sensible) tips for driving the Z in snow and/or icy conditions?

Try going full lock and full throttle - that should pretty much get the car moving in any direction you want. :P

My house is right on the coast, so it's usually a few degrees higher. :poke: Not even a drop of frost on the car this morning, but yes, definitley 2C when I left the house at 7:15am :D

Thank you for all the helpful tips so far! I was hoping for some useful hints on using DTC and perhaps help with the automatic gear shift as I imagine getting into a high gear moving off could pose a problem...

Lighten up! If you don't have a general idea of how to drive a RWD car with reduced traction then you maybe should've bought a corsa! :P

Ouch! I was only asking! and BTW my previous car was rear wheel drive with no electronic assistance. I was simply asking for advice on making the most of the DTC options but thank you for your 'helpful' comments.

I think some say that in order to let the wheels slip a bit, (in order to get some traction), you press the DSC button once to enable dynamic traction mode (DTC). I wouldn't disable it fully (hold the button in for a few secs) unless you are pretty experienced or are in a big open space. Also believe that pulling away in 2nd gear helps.
