Have just priced this up today at Halfords and a smaller local audio shop. But the guy at the audio shop has really confused me lol
He says it will only work with 4 speaker in my car I think I have 6 but not really sure.Does anyone have this system installed and are you happy with it, I dont really want to compromise the sound as I think the system is the basic one anyway.
I dont have a multichager, sure there is no amplifier or subwoofer and its they grey stereo that says business on it, and no sat nav, if that helps anyone identify what I have?
I really thought that this would be just what I needed now i'm confused, are there any other options to use my Iphone 4 in the way the Parrot does in my car?
Thanks
Steve

If you have the standard 6 speaker system it will be a simple plug and play. All you'll need is the correct iso Y cable.

I have this installed and I have the upgraded stereo system with the amplifier and subs and it works very well. I had my install done by a specialist as Halfords didn't fill me with a lot of confidence when I spoke to them.

Great thanks for the replies.
I have spoken to another installer and it's now going in next Wednesday.

how much?

i would suggest getting the module that allows control through the steering wheel, the parrot controller can be a bit clumsy, I would definately not fasten it to the steeering wheel

The remote is ok - although I would second linking to the MFSW as it gets a tad confusing which buttons to go for... or is that just me? :?

yes its ok, but steering wheel is 100% better

between £200 and £230 depending which cable in need. what is the steering wheel module? do you have to have the buttons already there?
and I shall not be putting the parrot control on the wheel it doesnt look to good to me.

there is an interface that allows the parrot to be controlled via the steering wheel buttons rather than the parrot remote buttons

ok thanks think i need a new wheel first then :( maybe in the future....

worth checking price whilst your getting it insatalled, it may not be that much more

cheers, did you fit it yourself

do you have a good view of the screen?

i only what to fit 1 because my business radio does not show id tags

I am mechanically disadvantaged, so paid a local installer to do it.

Screen is fine, this seems to be the optimum location. Only problem is if you wear polarised sunglasses..

The only thing I should have done is the link to the MFSW. Everytime the phone goes, I forget about the remote and try to answer it with the SW button.

The main reason I went for this was the IPOD connector (very good control & sound) and improved bluetooth. Before installed I could only make decent quality calls under 40mph.
