Return of the Z3...?

This makes the Z naming conventions even more confusing.
I understand the X1, X3, X5.
They are the SUV versions of the 1 series, 3 series, 5 series. Built on the same platforms.

Z2 is now on a MINI platform. Z3 is a 1 series platform. Z5 is a 3 series platform.

Have to admit, I don't like the sound of a Z5 either.

But everytime I complain about something new BMW is doing, I find myself a year later accepting it.

Are you on something? That was one fugly motor.....so bad they pumped it up a bit and demoted it to become a 1-series. :cry:
 
Personally making the current z4 to a z5 seems all wrong.

Maybe they could come out with a z5 to compete with the likes of a merc sl... So a 4 seater roadster.

But I'd welcome a new z3.... But I'd be surprised if BMW did have 3 roadsters within it's fleet.... People are shying away from performance inpractle cars now...
 
So it's now official

After several dodgy car designs BMW have completely lost the plot. :headbang:

Well they sort of made the Z3 into Z4 IMHO, so the next gen to Z5 I could cope with since the car is getting larger, but FWD :fuelfire:

Sorry, it just doesn't float my boat - it doesn't quite know what it wants to be......

z3coupe - ugly - outrageous. I used to run a s52. Fantastic car. If I had the cash I'd snap up that S54 of PH.

.... I know if I had space in my garage .... i would be giving him a call..... problem is my Maldives blue roadster is a keeper..
 
Also, loving that coupe picture lacroupade posted. What's that all about? They should have made that one.....
 
ok I have to Agree the Z3 coupe is very very ugly. Wouldn't even consider owning one. The Z4 is soo much better looking, BMW needs to rehire Chris Bangle today!!

And FWD...WTF? BMW has always been RWD with every model, and they want to make a FWD roadster... that is the definition of selling out! Disappointed! :evil:

X2. They are like ugly babies, only their mothers love them and everyone else is afraid to tell them...I love my Z3 roadster, not the coupe.
