Z4MC: Lost my my xenon washer nozzle

Walked back to my car yesterday and realised is was missing a headlight washer nozzle and the plastic cover. :(

The washer still 'works' but the water now simply splurges out... it's missing the nozzle that creates the pressure and directs the fluid to the headlight. Oh, and the painted plastic cover which covers the hole in the bumper from which the washer jet pops out.

Anyone any idea on part numbers and best source? I don't believe I need the whole washer jet unit, just the part that hopefully pushes in to what is left behind.

Any help would be most appreciated. :)

Think this may help..

I had the same happen, you can only buy the whole spray unit complete with the two jets and the diamond shaped clip on the top that holds the cover, the cover IS a separate item and comes unpainted from BMW. All these parts are handed so check which side you are getting if you are buying used parts. From memory a washer unit is about £75 and an unpainted cover £15? I recall BMW wanted £45 for a painted cover!!!

I also needed a fog light so bought a complete bumper stripped the bits I needed, sold the rest and made a few quid as well :)

Very helpful - cheers guys.

Just done a search and seen that I should be able to pull the nozzle from the complete unit I buy from BMW and fit it to what hasn't fallen off the car, otherwise it may even be a bumper off job.

Will call my local dealer on Monday. Are any dealers known for selling parts cheaper than others?

Ps. £30 uplift for the painted cap is ridiculous!

Try soper on Lincoln... Mention the club will get you a good discount.

So come armed with the local dealer price... Then call them

Excellent - will do.

Muchos gracias! :)

Parts ordered from Soper - really impressed with their service (and prices). Feedback left in the dealer section accordingly.

Thanks for the heads up aquazi.

Ok, to drag this one up from the archives, I noticed that my LH washer cover had gone AWOL on Monday Morning, so I am on the search for a Silver Grey cover to replace it.

Are Sopers still the best to go to? Are there any other options available to me? Ebay was no use.

Any idea where it could have gone? Do they pop off?

The covers can pop off when frozen to the bumper and the jet jumps up, or people nick them .... So no 'finding one in a car park!

It's a BMW only part unfortunately
