Finally completed the refurb of 108's after following the guides on here,,, wanted to keep them as stock as possible
I wont bore you with all of the pics but here is a selection.
Stripping off the old lacquer
stripped cleaned rim now ready for a polish
the star in primer ready for the final finish
the outer edge after polishing,,,, shame that the clear lacquer will dull this finish
Finished article just letting them bake a bit in the sun before tightening the bolts.

Good effort
May I suggest a single bead of silicone sealer around the inside joint once bolted and torqued up. Stops much of the water getting in from the inside.
