Best Ipod option

I'm considering buying an ipod for the car but it's currently not fitted with a connector. Any idea what my best option is without spending much cash? My current setup is factory stereo, CD changer and 10 speaker system if that makes any difference. I do not have the sat nav so I don't have the luxury of using the screen to view traks etc.

£30 will get you the AUX connector in the car if you fit it yourself.
£100 will get you an Icelink Plus if it still exist (or DICE)

Name your price and you have your solution :D

icelink will intergrate with steering wheel controls, display id3 tags (artist/track info), access playlists, and can be neatly stored in your glove box.

aux will basically connect using 3.5mm earphone socket, so no features

I've gone for a radio link -Belkin. It fits well into the cigarette lighter socket and quality is fine. Means I keep the CD stacker but can't control from steering wheel but it is very easy to use. £50 for the unit.

A word of warning: beware of the DSP (if you choose the Dension or Dice route)

If anyone in the UK wants the Aux adaptor cable I have one. I bought it for my coupe and then decided I would go with the Dension. I think it was £38 but I'm open to sensible offers.

One question on the Intravee, does it work with all Z4's? I know you need an ADC if you have DSP, but do all Z4s have iBus, or did this only arrive with the facelift?

Actually, come to think of it, what the heck is ibus?! :?

Works will all Z4's. Without satnav, obviously the display element on the radio is limited.

???

Display element is limited even with sat nav in my experience - is about 8 letters long and disappears before displaying anything useful. However the Dension kit offers the best integration and gets my vote.

Best integration is the Intravee from a functionality / stability point of view ...

You know you want to ... :D

I just fitted the intravee this weekend (you also need the alpine kca420i). Installation was way harder than I expected (six hours!) but the results are good. I also had to buy a usb-serial cable to update the firmware because it had a bug (menu kept disappearing). Impressed with it so far though. Got rid of the FM transmitter at last!
