If I go from 16's RFT to 18's with normal tyres

Has anyone done this, I have 16 inch wheels with newish Bridgstones. If I buy some second hand wheels, get them reconditioned and fitted with new NORMAL tyres what might the ride be like. Will these fit my 2004 2.5.

18's are pretty common on the e85, I swapped from 17s to 18s on to non-RFTs on my 2003 2.5 and whilst the cornering feel and ride are slightly different there was surprisingly little deterioration in ride. Depending on the wheels you may have to check the offset is OK (offsets are always a mystery to me) but there are some pretty knowledgeable people here so I'm sure someone can advise if needed.
 
Yes those wheels will fit a treat on your 04 Z4 & yes adorning them with standard rubber will leave you with a comfortable ride not indifferent to what you already have on 16s
Its more about the right brand & the right sizes along with the correct pressure all = happy driving with better looks :driving:
 
I have those wheels on currently with vredestein ultrac sessanta fronts, Hankook s1 evo 2 rears and the ride is perfectly fine. My fiesta ST180 has a harsher ride!
