Parking Sensors fitted

Here they are, just fetched it back. Whatcha think? They're bigger than I thought they were going to be. They do look a bit more 'prominent' on the pics than in real life I think.

Those stick out - thought oem are flush (mine are) or is that different on the E89?

Just what I was thinking, markeg. I'm just in the process of retrofitting oem PDC to the rear to my E85 roadster... they're flush

I think they've gone for cheapest option being as we played our faces about having front and rear done rather than just rear, which they only wanted to do. Beginning to wish I hadn't had them done now :(

I reckon you're right. If you've got non-PDC bumpers, to fit oem PDC you've got to buy the sensors and holders and we all know about BMW parts prices (even discounted)... I found it cheaper to buy a s/h bumper, but I guess on a newer car that's not an option. Still, if they work, that's the main thing

oh no a nother driver who cant drive :poke:

Nah, I'm pretty good at parking... my better half may be better at many, many things than me (!), but parking ain't one of them. PDC is the way forward

Oh I can drive, they were a freebie from my Stealer because of the hill assist thing.
I've been driving cars with long bonnets all my driving life and never dinked one yet (that's jinxed that now eh?!)

Just been out testing them and the rear work fine but the front ones constantly beep! (They've fitted a switch near the bonnet release) AS soon as you switch them on they tart beeping and don't go off.
They do a constant beep if someone stands near them but they don't stop beeping til you switch them off!

Sorry for your bad outcome but this would be better off in the E89 section Carol. That way the other hill assist crew can give an opinion.
Feel really bad for you as this must have ruined the whole experience .

Yep, you're quite right. I'll put a Link there.

I'm sure they will fix the front ones. They better had!

Hi Carol.
Sorry I don't know you and don't want to upset you. But truth be said I would be personally disappointed if they did that to my car.
They should have made it clear that they would not be oem and would protrude.
Bmw are insured against this sort of thing and I would insist on new bumpers.

It's a new car. "not bad" is not acceptable and you don't sound completely happy.
Costa.

Carol M, what are the three things in the corner of the garden by the fence?

Sensors look fine to me.
Terracotta camels! (and thanks for saying they look ok)

No problem, I won't get upset, it's a forum and I like to hear everyone's opinions!
