I copied this from another forum after I left for my trip, I wanted to keep you all up to date as well not that you think I crashed my Z4 I am just busy driving my toy mile after mile. I just found out that I posted it in the General Forum. I am sure you guys driving the E89 like to know how well the car holds out on my mega road trip in the USA. Also found out that somehow my link did not work so I corrected it below.

Hi fellows ... I've been busy enjoying my Z4 ... Left home on Sunday morning July 25. I am now in Flagstaff, AZ.

The Car is handling like a charm "flawless performance" I just passed the 12,600 KM point. Average speed around 125 KM/HR (75 MPH) Fuel consumption gets better as I drive now at 9.2 L/100 KM.

Today July 29 it's off to Vegas via the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam.

Some pictures can be seen in the photo album link attached ....

Yesterday we drove thru the Mohave Desert, it was breathtaking. The road surface was without a dough fantastic as if made for the Z4. Top Gear should check it out :)

you can find some of the Grand Canyon pictures in the Album 5 Arizona & Nevada

Believe it or not so far having driven over 5,000 KM I only saw five Z3's one Z4 (I think it was here in California) and yesterday in the Bellagio Casino a 2009 Z4 30is can be yours if you get the top win on one of the slot machines? I've taken pictures, only I left the cord to download them from my camcorder at home, I will get a cable tomorrow then I shall download some Vegas photos also.

Cheers,

Car is handling like a charm, now over 14,000 KM on the clock

Yup, nice trip indeed. By the time you're back home you must have done twice as many kilometers as I do in a whole year. The scenery looks nice, lots of must-see places, but I've yet to see any 'twisties'... all roads straight as a ruler... Didn't you take Mulholland Drive, or the coastal road near San Francisco, or roads like that?

I added a few photos to the California Album.

To bad the coast is fogy right now, however, the drive is still fantastic.

I am stuck in Idaho USA some 3000 KM from home, due to RFT Failure & Wheel Crack (posted a tread on that subject).

Since I have some time on my hands I added some more pictures to my trip album site. What els is a guy to do besides drinking beer and eating pizza while waiting for the replacement wheel to arrive. Anyway if you like to see some more photos (added to albums 6 to 12, here they are;
