As i am unfortunate enough to work in Burton On Trent i thougth my options of a local independent near my workplace would be limted to only a dealer... however found this place called "Burton Motor Workshop"

For £23 they plugged in their autologic and ran through the options they could be enabled on their touch screen.. so now my car has triple indicators, the doors lock at 10mph, memory seat 1 to my key and can close my roof and windows from the key!

They also said they can give me a brake fluid change (which my was 2 years old in Feb - so now overdue) for £60 - which beats the dealer prices!

Good to have that recommendation given I only live 10 minutes from it. Was even in Cooper Square Sunday :)

We will bump into each other 1 day :)

How annoying to learn about this today!!!
I was visiting my folks in B O T a few weeks back and went upto Telford to get this very same work done!!!

I'll keep an eye out for you two :)

I know cooper square - often escape for my lunch break to the sandwich place just outside there!

They garage on the whole were very good (and there was an SL55AMG they were working on - so felt reassured leaving my BMW in their hands!)- and the guy that delt with me was pretty competant - although the lady on reception wasnt the brighest spark - she wanted to charge me £35 (saying the normal price is over £40) even though i agreed before i went to only £25. So she checked with the mechanic and he said £23.

I have now booked my car there for its first (overdue) service.

There are a few Z i see regularly on my commute now - both M's - one is a imola red coupe with CSL's coming off at the Mickleover A38 jnc and a black roaster in Burton town near the Bass museum.

Had my first service + brake fluid change yesterday... i provided my own engine oil (£50 7L Mobil 1 from Asda) and filter (£10 from BMW), and they provided the brake fluid cost + labour £93 inc vat - so total cost is £153.

They charged £30 for the oil change - which is just within my ability so i could have done that myself in 30 mins - but i'd rather have it stamped in my book!

All in i'm very impressed with them - and no more expensive then the jap independents i am used to.
