2006 Titanium Silver 3.2 M Roadster with Imola Leather - SOLD.

Due to degenerative knee problems, I have alluded to elsewhere on the Forum, I have taken the decision to sell the car.
It is not a decision I have taken likely, but as such it is a decision based on common sense & safety.
Since my last operation in November 2014 I have experienced episodes of the knee 'locking'. Fortunately this has not, to-date, happened whilst I've been driving, however if it did the consequences don't bare thinking about, especially if Mrs. Chicken was in the car with me.

The car is well known by members of the forum & has an excellent provenance. I am the third owner of the M. The car was originally order by a private individual in 2006 at John Clark BMW Dundee , before Rob purchased it in October 2010. The Car has always been serviced by BMW John Clark at either Dundee or Aberdeen.
Rob used the car as a weekend drive, and did not use it between the end of October until March.

I purchased the car in October 2014, with the mileage at 40,270. It has been driven on just four occasions since purchase covering just 513 miles. It is currently garaged, & the battery is on trickle charge.

* new Michelin Sport Pilot 2s were fitted all-round at 35742 Miles in April 2013. However I suffered a puncture on the way home after purchasing the car. None of the garages in Perth were able to source a new Michelin tyre, so I had 2X Hankook Ventus S1 EVO 2's fitted to the rear. As a result the rears have covered 513 miles.

The stunning photo's of the exterior of the car were taken by Rob the previous owner. One of the images has previously been featured in the BMW Car Club of Great Britain Straight Six magazine. The images of the interior & engine bay are not as good, because I took them!, & my digital compact camera is rubbish :). However rest assured the car is in stunning all round condition.

The car is subject to a cherished transfer. The registration number featured in the photo's of the car is currently on retention certificate, & available through separate negotiation.

Thanks for looking

Mark

It's a lovely car Mark. I saw your post on Facebook. I wish you well with the sale and with the knee too.

Thanks mate...just popped into the garage to lift the cover off the car to check the mileage. Lovely smell of leather, coupled with the warmth of the dash lights :(

How Sad that its got to go under those circumstances. You must be gutted. It looks fantastic and like you, I hope it stays on the Forum.

GLWTS and stick around whether you own a Zed or not. :(

Good luck with the sale Mark and more importantly hope you get your knee sorted.

I'm the same with my left knee after a tibial nail and multiple keyhole investigations.

Who said playing sport was good for you !?!

£16k?! It's not a coupe :poke:

Look on Autotrader - it doesn't have to be. And it's a beautiful car in great condition with provenance...

I saw your post on Facebook as well and noticed how lovely and well kept the car is.

With spring not far away, the colour combo, spec and mileage I am sure you will have a sale very soon.

It's a lovely looking car and the red leather finishes it off a treat!

Hope the knee continues to behave itself and ///M goes to a good home!

Thanks Wyldie, I'll get over the car, eventually, but not being able to train in the gym after all these years that's another matter :(

Just briefly Mark, I'm not making excuses for not coming to the meet on Sunday, when i said I'd go I had'nt made the date connection at the time then I realised it later, next time def make it, cheers mate.

Best of luck with the sale - sorry you have to sell it.

The photos weren't taken by Tom... Those are my Handiwork :D - one of Toms photos of it did appear in straight six .

Sorry to see you're selling already - if I hadn't already taken the plunge on a P car I might just have been tempted ! pretty sure this will sell easily. GLWTS

Sorry Rob, no offence  ...I had Paul take the wee wee out of me for that stunning black & white shot you took of the car.
He thought it was stunning apart from the Wheelie Bin in the background :D

On a serious note, the knee has started locking on me, without warning, I had hoped the op in November might have been a turning point, but I should have known better having had six operations :(

Bum news Mark , especially after the effort taken to get to Aberdeen & then home
I know its in the advert for those who work it out but maybe highlight the fact the complete set of discs+pads were replaced within the last 300 miles as it is a significant cost the new owner will not have to consider  i'm guessing a £650/£700 invoice :?
best of luck with the sale & whatever comes along to replace it , big boots to fill i would assume
