Pretty sure the best you'll find out there other than one I saw at £5k. Has far more character than the later E46 Compact.

Interior still has that distinctive E36 smell. Huge amount of history, immaculate bodywork, an excellent Focal sound system and no accidents. 1 year MOT just done with no advisories. I have spent a fair amount on this car with the stereo upgrade and various bits to ensure complete reliability for years to come.

Sat on the drive as I no longer commute and this was my station car, is not going to be used much so if anyone is after a cheap reliable automatic runabout this is perfect.

Top notch stereo system which cost a fair amount of the whole price I'm asking for the car (it genuinely sounds better than the high end factory system in my SL) and a years MOT with no advisories.

I'm open to trading up as I can put in cash for something interesting with a big engine which I will use.

Thank you mate. A lot of these are neglected and let go, this one is the complete opposite. Interior and exterior is in unbelievable condition and here is some of the paperwork. MOT tester last week reckons it's good for another 20 years :o

It was already in great condition but I spent nearly £1000 on various mechanical bits and the stereo system with best components. Only selling as my contract has ended and I work from home now. Can afford to buy more of a gas guzzler now as I wont be doing many miles.

What focal speakers did you go for out of interest and who fitted them?

Focal stuff is top notch I have used it in previous cars

They are Focal access speakers all round. There's a local chap I found who does a lot of high end installations. He's not cheap but the quality of his work is excellent and you could never even tell he's done anything as it's all stealth.

Would like to trade up so anyone downsizing who needs a cheap car that costs pennies to run please let me know.

Looks amazing for the age- like you say most of these are unloved rot boxes now. Still love how they used e30 dashes in these!

Thank you. I'd be happy to keep it really as it always puts a smile on my face when I drive it. But with two other cars my insurance becomes prohibitive if I go up to four so this has to go unfortunately.

It would make a great cheap and ultra-reliable runabout for someone so I hope it goes to someone who can appreciate all the care that's been taken with it over the years.

How's £1500? The car has had the same amount spent in maintenance recently and is reliable for years to come as all potential items have been addressed.

The stereo installation alone came to nearly £500.

Looks like a really well cared-for example OP!

3 years ago I would have been in touch, but I've already discovered the Compact in E46 format!

GLWTS.

The 325ti E46 is a great car, I had one. Thirsty though (probably because you can't help but drive it like a go-kart)..

Well yes I do give in to temptation quite often, but if you've got it you might as well use it!
