X5 rims on the Z, for all those who thought it cant be done!

Finaly got some tyres on the X5 wheels I bought a couple of months ago & thought id post it up showing that it can be done as many people told me they wouldnt fit

Ive been on a steady potter about town & encountered no scrubbing yet :-)

Let me know what you all think





 
I can't quite see the car hiding behind those enormous wheels! :D
I love the colour of your coupe though...

cheers! I like proving people wrong & showing that things can be done, and as ive never seen a Z4 with X5 wheels on i thought i had to do it :D

I've got 235 35 19 pirellis on the front and 255 30 19 continentals on the rear
 
I own and drive an E53 X5 with exactly those wheels!

dont you think they are a tad heavy for a sports car?

I've no idea of what the weight difference is, but it is probably enough to seriously affect the unsprung weight of the suspension.

see how she handles, but be prudent.

Not sure if I love them, but I do like them and they add quite a bit of 'muscle' to the car - I also like the concave rears :thumbsup:
 
Oh I'm just not sure, I like the wheels, but all I can see is wheels and no car, my eyes are just drawn to them and nothing else, which seems a bit of a shame really as the car should grab your attention not just the wheels.
 
I like the look mikey, are they for winter only or all year round, strong looking wheel for our crappy roads this time of year. :thumbsup:

I agree. Your eye keeps roaming back to the wheels. Matter of individual taste of course but not for me.
Good for you for proving it can be done tho!
 
I'm not really a fan TBH, I just think they look too big and chunky on the Z?

Great looking car though, even if it is a coupé :P
 
I think they look fantastic, really adds a sense of ground hugging aggression to my eyes...
