SNOW!

I know some of the Z4 owners in colder climates will just laugh at the pitiful amount of snow we get in the UK, but I'm quite impressed with yesterday's snow efforts. The Z4's tucked away in the garage with no need for it to leave (yet) but at least this years that's actually an option: most of the neighbours got stuck in and cleared the 200yds or so of road down to the main road by hand - estimated at 12-18" of snow on the roofs of cars yesterday, and more fallen since...

The excavation work that your estate has achieved makes the building of the Channel tunnel seem like a stroll in the park, and yikes it is only November (just)

Excellent community spirit, bet there was more than a few drams going around after that monumental effort

In that last picture glorious view across to the Kingdom.

Not sure on drams, we were all completely knackered after that effort - really feeling the effects today and have a load of clearing to do again when I get home. Best to stay on top of it though 8)

'Tis indeed the Kingdom - I guess you've got it pretty bad over your way too?

Just realised that 2nd to last photo I posted: Ally takes the photos while wifey shovels the snow

Reminds me when I lived in Western Canada :) Here in Southwestern Ontario, Canada (near Niagara Falls) we don't have any snow yet in fact tomorrow we expect a daytime high of 12 C

:)

My snow shovels and snow blower are very bored :P

wow, impressive pictures! Could make a good snow fight in that lot!!

Thanks for sharing

Latest estimate is around 18-24" of snow having fallen since 10pm Friday night. No sign of it melting anytime soon - the forecast is for it barely to reach above zero deg C for the next 7 days or so

Tired from all this manual labour - I'm not cut out for that sort of work lol.

That is a LOT of snow, good work getting it cleared  Looks like Eastern Canada

At least it isn't -37 like it was here, although I'll take the low temps over a heart attack from shovelling all that white shite anyday. Thankfully, we only got about 6" last week .

Still falling :(

Yesterday's commute into work :P

And these were this morning after we'd cleared the road. Again. It's since snowed pretty much constantly since and there's a further 3-4" ont eh bits we just cleared. Estimated total depth that's fallen since Friday night is 30-36" (2.5-3 foot!). The Z4 is obviously going nowhere lol.

Wow

I heard how much Scotland and the North had had, but it's different seeing it.

Have you thought of moving to a warmer climate? LIke the alps?

We need to send you a couple of Polar Bears and a dog sled, they'd feel right at home. That is a serious amount of snow..anywhere, including here.

Don't strain anything shovelling, that stuff is heavy....

Falkirk :D

(halfway between Glasgow and Edinburgh, right in the centre of the central belt of Scotland)

Guess what???

It's ALL melted.

Aye right :D. It's still fecking snowing again! Another couple of inches overnight.

OMG thats insane! you could build an little eskimo home there!

London finally suffered the same fait as the rest of the UK now... a couple of inch here... so glad i have a focus!

10" where i am in kent, drifts up to 20". Nothing like some of you guys i know but with serious slopes on all three routes out of the village i'm not going anywhere. Definitely need to get the Series II landy on the road asap.

Must have started to thaw a little overnight before freezing again (and please don't comment on kerb rash as I'm already so angry with myself over dinking the wheel :x )
