Speeding car flies 200 feet

I was just getting ready to post this. Doesn't say car or bike.

"The car was split in half and the wreckage was scattered over 200 ft." I would hazard to guess that the 'speed limiter' was trying its best....

I hate to be cold hearted, but Axiom One always applies: 'The Stupid, Shall Be Punished'

Pretty stupid thing to do, but may they rest in peace now. :(

Hopefully other youngsters (hell...everyone) can learn from this tragedy.

One of the occupants attended Jacksonville University (my town). Prayers go out to the families.

I posted the above link from another BMW forum. It seems that one of the young men involved in the accident might be the same person who has been posting on a M5 forum. The link is below.

Read in one of the articles the car was an $80,000 650i...
Has since been determined that is was his dad's M5 , but apparently the kid drove it mainly. Reading the messages on the M5 forum, the kid was looking to go as fast as he could without full understanding of what the car was capable of (getting into an uncontrollable situation real quick).

I bet that someone's going to put the blame on the Airport for not having proper security around the perimeter, allowing trespassing to occur.

In any case, I kinda hope that the news of this tragedy is escalated out through the media so that it will hopefully impact and teach those who think that speed is cool and easily controlled.

I was thinking the same thing actually... :(

It does appear now that the young man from the M5 forum is the one that passed away.
