Can I make a plea for people to stop using other peoples spelling and grammar to score cheap points.
Yes I know people use poor grammar but a) there might be a valid reason; b) there is a time and a place to do it and that's not on an Internet forum about cars; c) we are united on here by a love of our cars and we arrived here from very different backgrounds and situations.
It really does say a lot more about the poster if they resort to that than the person being corrected. I'm not aiming this at any one individual but I've noticed a few instances of it recently and it's intellectual snobbery of the worst kind in my opinion. No matter how much of a smart arse you might think you are, there is always someone smarter remember.
I can think of only a couple of examples where it might be appropriate - a) if a post is so constructed as to be totally unintelligible - like the posts from the gentlemen who keeps trying to sell us nice evening dresses or b) if it's an obvious typo which everyone can laugh about.
