These scams are being pulled everywhere in the world! Protect yourselves by getting a dashcam if you don't have one. Post another vid of a scam you saw getting caught on dashcams! I just bought mine :D
 
I don't think that is advertising because unfortunately you'll find dozens of similar vids all over U tube. This is effectively the pedestrian version of "crash for cash". From what I can make of it the problem is particularly bad in Russia and along with fake crashes is why so many Russians have dash cams in their cars.
Yet another scam just waiting to take off here........ :x
 
Kinda scary cause usually what happens is they make you pay cash or threaten to call the cops. Happens all the time, even on highways when people stop and then back up into your car.
 
This happens a lot in China. Russian dash cams catch a different side of things: road rage. Australians catch yet another side: kangaroos
 
I also think these type of incidents will become more common over here.

I'm looking at a Blackvue DR600GW HD or RoadHawk HD at the moment, the Blackvue has a slimmer profile and has WiFi but seems to get some mixed user reviews, where the RoadHawk HD is larger but seems to have better reviews as a fit and forget solution once it's wired in.

It will be interesting to see if those manufacturers who have options on their cars for surround view cameras for parking start to add in recording options to capture video whilst driving.

May as well just drive over him. I'd like to put some distance between myself and a nut job like that and I think the law would agree.

What an utter idiot, hopefully he's killed the few remaining brain cells doing that stunt.

Would be good on police attendance for him to get arrested for fraud, when the dash cam gets pointed out.
