Hiya Guys
Some of you may have seen my original thread, after much consideration I decided to take the plunge and try out a Seat Leon Cupra R splitter at the front of the Zed. I had done this before on a TT so had a little experience of this already. So as requested so good quality pictures now
The LCR splitter was purchased from a Seat main dealer, a set of self tappers , some protective paint for the tappers and that’s all you need. I used a Dermal to finish up and curve in the edges in as I felt it looked better on the sides.
Summary:
When I first did it I was "quite" happy with the results but the sides were frustrating me and only once I had remoulded it I was much happier with the result am really pleased with the look
. My neighbour who is a VW nut thought it was an OEM part!
If I was to do this again as it was a bit of a prototype, I would remove the bumper and get a heat gun to mould it better around the sides am (99%) happy along with some clamps. But for a first attempt am pleased. I’m particularly happy that the lines on the front bumper meet with the lines of the splitter a luckily accident I might add
Hope you guys like it am really pleased with the result I think it add some great depth. If anyone needs any advice drop me a pm on the enhancement
It costs less than £50 quid it came in at around £45.00 so nice little "recession" mod... it will keep me happy until I get an M Bumper
Cheers Paza
