Euro Road Trip 2010 Review

Just got back this weekend so thought I'd share a few pics

Drove down to Ashford after work on Friday night (302 miles), then, on Satuarday, straight down to Lindau on Lake Constance, Germany - 616 miles

Crossed the border into Austria and headed east towards Imst

Day 3 cont

Took the Glacier Road to the Kaunertal Glacier

Lovely old 3.0CSL

After making the accent so quickly we both felt a bit ill when we got to the top

Took the cable car to the highest point in Austria accessible by cable car - 10196ft

Great views at the top

Then made our way back down on the road

Day 4 - Wenns to Borca de Cadore - 172 miles

The day was a little gloomy as we set off for the mountains and Italy

Once we got into the mountains visibility reduced to about 10m

We couldn't see a thing

Another high pass

At the summit, over 8000ft

From here it was further east to the Dolomites where the cloud was the same. We didn't bother with any more pics.

All in all, a totally rubbish days driving due to the weather

Stunning as usual RT. and I am eqully jealous. My Mrs isn't interested in doing a euro trip but my youngest daughter is (18) she wants to visit Auswitz, which is somewhere I have also thought of going to, so thinking of maybe a two week trip across europe next year, Seeing pics like these just make me determined to do it

Day 5 -Borca de Cadore to Trieste - 130 miles

We awake to another wet day in the Dolomites.

It's a couple of hours driving in the rain before we sight the coast and the rain stops

We eventually reach our hotel and head for a late lunch at the beach bar

WOW fantastic roads and Lindau looks very nice thanks for pics will now look into a run to there next year
