These were recently bought from a member but it's been discovered that they won't fit a pre-facelift that already has xenon headlights. Bit of a pain. I've used his original wording. Ideal if you don't have xenons already. I doubt I'll recoup what I paid so it's been a money losing mistake but what the hell, it happens!!
I'd like as close to the £550 including delivery that I paid but at the same time I have no use for them...
If it makes any difference, I am on the lookout for some 18" alloys, preferably MV2, MV3 or 108 and preferably original BMW but if you've got anything else lying about and fancy a swap/part ex type deal then please ask.
Below is the original advert, which is very comprehensive.
Hello,
For sale I have a pretty much complete kit for factory fitting xenon headlights to a z4.
Included:
2 x Xenon headlights
2 x Ballasts
2 x Igniters
2 x Xenon Bulbs
2 x Full beam bulbs
2 x Indicator bulbs
2 x level sensors
2 x level sensor plugs
The associated brackets and nuts/bolts for attaching to the suspension.
50m 11A (you wont need this much) of coloured wire ready for installing (5m light green. 5m orange. 5m grey. 7m green. 7m white. 7m purple. 8m black. 6m blue).
If you're lucky you may well already have the loom in place. In which case you've got some free wire and plugs
You can check by looking in the O/S (driver side UK) front and rear arch for the plugs:

I dread to think what the cost from BMW would be for this lot (£1500+ easily)

Obviously if this is going to be a job yourself you're going to need some electrical competency. Though I'm almost certain any reputable auto electrician could complete this no problem.
One of the headlights is in perfect condition with all brackets in tact, but I've done repairs on the 2nd headlight brackets (as pictured), I've used a combination of metal brackets, fibre glass and self tappers for repairs (this is likely to be much stronger than the original!). One bracket remains broken because it's a fairly awkward shape to replicate but with 3/4 bracket OK it's not going to move anywhere.
Also please be aware your cars LCM (light control module) will need to be programmed for xenon headlights. I had a quote of £35 from BMW or my local specialist offered to do it for free!
The pdf (ready for printing) for fitting can be downloaded from here: http://www.unofficialbmw.com/images/6186EN.pdf
Reason for sale is money's a little tight at Christmas time and I really need a set of winter tyres, I'm 100% required to get in to work during the snowing months, a lovely 20 mile journey
