White Z4 Roadster 2.0i sport for sale on ebay - UPDATED

Hi

I am thinking about parting with my beloved Z4.

It is a rare Alpine White 2.0i sports, a real head turner and a thing of beauty. The combination of the black hood and white body reminds me of the classic beauty of 60's sports cars and is the thing that makes this stand out from the crowd.

First registered in Nov 2006, post-facelift model and has 32K on the clock. Just had its oil service, first MOT and pre-warranty expiry check, so the 108's are all shiney-shiney. It is fitted with a full set of Falkens with plenty of tread left.

It really is looking the dogs-doodahs at the moment so I figured that it would be a good time to sell.

For those that don't know, the sports model has Leather M seats, M Multi Function Steering Wheel, M Sports suspension and 18" alloys. It has a bmw ipod adaptor fitter and comfort pack which includes rear parking sensors.

I attach a couple of photo's.

£13K ovno. I know it's winter but it would look lovely with a red ribbon on it for Christmas...go on, think of the payback :D

(Private Plate not included)

I don't have it advertised anywhere else, as I would obviously like to sell to a current or potential member here, but I've got my eye on a little something that might force me to make up my mind sooner rather than later.

Thanks for looking

Andy

thats looks like a stunning car, and great in white. if i was looking for a new one i would be very interested. good luck

Well, what a disappointment :(

Went to look at a Merc CLS AMG 55 today - what a stunning car. The independent dealer was however a complete shambles. :headbang:

We struck a provisional deal, which involved him offering £12,500 px for my car. But when it came to going for a test drive in the Merc he was very nervous. In the end he said he didn't have any trade plates and the car was not insured for test drives...WTF. I offered to put the Merc onto my company's 26 car fleet policy for an hour, but still no movement. He offered to drive it for me.....

The car was on some private plates that were registered to a different car. The tax disc was held in a different registration number.

I didn't just walk away from the deal, I practically ran....

I travelled 110 miles each way - what a waste of a day.

Still, at least I know what I want Santa to bring me now :D

People like that REALLY piss me off! Sounds like some suckers gonna get a really shite car off that dodgy twerp.... :headbang:

Hi All

I have another car to go look at this weekend but its a private sale. This means that there is no trade-in.

Last week I was offered £12.5K to trade it back in, but I would accept £12K for a private sale in order to make the deal happen quickly.

If no interest by the end of the weekend then I'll keep her until spring and enjoy some more zedding for the next few months. :driving:

PM me if interested.

Thanks

Andy

I'd be snapping your hand off if it was a 3.0i :(

Stunning car mate really like it in white.

X2

Unbelievable looking car... you shouldn't have a problem selling that

The deal is done but I'm not quite sure how I feel. :?

I've just paid £29K for a black Mercedes CLS55 AMG with all the toys from a proper MB dealer. That's about a 1/3 of the £90K the car was when it was new 4.5 years ago. :D

Got £12K in p/x for the Z4. Somebody is gonna be in luck when it hits the BMW dealers showroom, although they will have to pay a little bit more than I was asking.

Delivery is set for first week of January. That means I have just 2 weeks of zedding to go.

I'm looking forward to the big step in power and a few home comforts but the extra 700kg will take some getting used to.

In the meantime I think I'll wrap up warm, put the roof down and blow the cobwebs out from between my ears.

Hi Andrew,

Sounds like you made a big change of cars their. White's not normally my favourite but I echo the sentiments of others and having seen your's in white it is really very very nice.

Why not put the car on ebay and Piston heads for 2 weeks at £12.5k I'm sure the dealer will be more than happy not to take the trade in. Not much to lose?

Nice choice of replacement! I just googled the exact model because I didn't know the exact engine spec - 5439cc 476bhp :)

Well it's been a while since I updated this thread.....

In the end my purchase from the main-dealer fell through. They claimed that 2 different salesmen sold the same car on the same day, so they returned my deposit :headbang:

Feeling frustrated I reviewed the private sales ads that I had previously discounted and found a real gem. It was another CLS 55 AMG but with my favoured interior and a few more toys too.

The car was owned by an active member of the MBClub Forum. I was therefore able to read all of his historical postings about his ownership experience over the last 3 years and how he had treated his pride and joy. His other cars were a Bentley and an Aston Martin Vantage, so I knew he would have looked after his Mercedes too.

I agreed a deal subject to viewing and travelled up to Liverpool by train to inspect and collect.

I was not disappointed. The car was in pristine condition and all of the service history etc, was all laid out for me to inspect. Doing business was a real pleasure, but not half as much pleasure as driving the 90 miles back home with 476bhp under my right foot.

As it was a private purchase then I did not sell my Z4. I figured that the price wouldn't change much between January and April, so I decided to keep the Z4 for some fun weekend driving until the spring.

So now I have 2 cars vying for my affection. Beauty - my frisky little Z4 and the Beast - my thunderous 476bhp 5.5l V8 CLS AMG.

Here's a couple of pictures of them getting acquainted.

They are both gorgeous cars but it begs the question: Which one is more fun to drive?
