Just fitted a Parrot MKi9200 so i now have a redundant Ipod adapter

This is an original BMW part:

IPOD INTERFACE GEN3 KIT - PIN 65 11 0 035 961

Instructions included, any offers considered
 
How happy are you with the Parrot? Thinking of going the same route I have iPhone 3GS but will be moving to iPhone 4 shortly.. I have heard the volumes not brilliant?
 
not 100% happy, may be 75%

i wanted to retain the BMW Bluetooth telephone but at the moment the parrot appears to be conflicting. Now via the car phone i can dial as normal but the car speakers are not operating, i have to pick the phone up and use it

another issue i have is with the Unika, thats the device that allows the steering wheel controls, because the Zed only as up/down and volume +/- it means i do not have that much control over the parrot

I'm still messing at the moment, i am hoping to speak with the parrot supplier or parrot next week after the hols

I wanted the parrot so i can see track info on mp3's
 
Cool same reason I want parrot (track display) .. I don't have steering wheel controls so the phone side is a bonus just want a convient way of plaing my mp3s through the phone :)
 
I would be interested but this isn't compatible with the CD changer :( Is there any iPod kit out there (apart from FM tuners) which will keep the 6 CD changer functionality?

I doubt you will use your cd changer anymore,when you the use the ipod kit!

The intravee kit can be fitted to retain the CD changer, but intravee is mainly the way forward if your car has nav as it displays everything on that screen.

I could be interested. I must confess I'm a little confused about which is the better way to go Intravee/Denison/BMW.

I have the basic stereo (with CD) with the Professional navigation and the 6 disc autochanger. I'm considering doing without the latter. To complicate matters I have the Bluetooth + Telematics. I don't have DSP or HiFi.

You probably didn't care to know that but if you have any relevant comment about how the BMW unit works that would be good!

Would you care to PM me with how much you want for it?

If I have the Professional Navigation do I still only get the 6 playlists which have to be named BMW1, BMW2 etc? Will I get any info relating to track/artist etc?

yes you have to name them BMW1 to 6 and all you get is Track 1, Track 2 etc, this is why i do not like it

I am looking into seeing if it the same as a denison and if it can be reprogrammed so track info is displayed

never got round to seeing if it the same as the denison, i just keep tripping up over it, so i'm open to silly offers
 
this item is of no value to me, so after a great suggestion from Nosa, I have decided to donate the sale value to the forum mods

after nosa's great idea of donating proceeds to the forum, this ipod kit as now been sold

however, to post it cost me £4+ so nosa it wasn't such a great idea :rofl:
