uh - two sales in one thread? :o

I'm really not sure what to do PVR at the moment, but from this thread I have already had an offer, one for the car which was a lot better than the dealer offered, and one for the CF dash if I removed.

Part-exchange Price:
Excellent condition: £14700
Average condition: £13100
Below average condition: £11650

this is what mine shows, lot more than BMW offered.

I split the thread... :)

Changed the title to hopefully get the required response, I have had an offer within an hour of posting on here but I would be interested in knowing what members feel I could get for the car selling privately.

I would have thought you'd get much more (in total) demodding it as much as you can - so remove the carbon dash, Parrot, Dension and Reinhold.

I was looking at a few well spec'd 56 reg 2.5si with under 30k miles back in Sep last year - and they were all over 15k (even from non franchise). So being the spring i would have thought you could pitch yours around 15k.

Shame your selling up thought - looks a lovely example.

Not a problem. I expect dealer will take mine as part exchange for £13k (53k miles). :) Only xenon headlights are missing on your zed, but people prefer having sat nav and iPod instead.

My local dealer have offered a crap price, I'm in no rush and not sure what to do, within an hour of posting on here had a PM and offer which I doubt a dealer would beat and proves private sale is the way to go althoug it was short of £15k

I know the CF dash would shift easy on here/ebay but not sure I can be arsed removing it, plus it also makes the interior look better IMO. But it doesnt add any value to the car and it would add to my funds sold on it's own.

Again Reinhold modules would probably leave where they are as the cost of those is minimal only costing me £115 in total delivered the pair.

Steve - stick your car up on Pistonheads and Auto trader for 16.25k and see what happens.

Your car is 100% perfect and somebody is out there that wants that spec and will pay the right money for it.

I would have ripped it off you for 15k if i had not bought the banana boat last year. I personally think your under pricing it, considering its attributes and your known attention to detail with this car.

Good luck! :driving:

Jamie

Jamie I assume you are saying 16.25k with all the mods as is.

I would also need to remove the plate before advertising I guess.

Yes, unless you want to be in the position that I was in where the buyer had to wait 4 weeks ...

there in lies the problem as that means I have to get off the fence and cant test the market, not sure what to do.

Just buy another car in addition. That is what I did as well, does not cost a lot.

had thought about that as you say the cost inst much more, biggest issue with that is parking at home, which menas the Z4 in the garage and probably never driven :( which would be a shame hence E46 M3 or E90 330i/330d which would be practical 4 seaters I can use everyday.

No - get a dog of a car so you will still enjoy the outings with the Z. That was your original plan anyway for when you would get an M ...

Problem is the Z4 just wont get used. I'm also not sure whether I am trying to convince myself I need to change it.

A bike rack would sort the problem out in the short term, but not sure I have the confidence the car wont get damaged

Another local dealer has given me a price on mine, 2.5k more than the other local dealer :o

I have no intention of part exchanging and believe 16K id very possible now
