Z4M RPi Exhaust, only done 200miles, £SOLD

I bought these as part of the group buy last year. Also bought the RPi silencer inserts which help to remove the drone, and a pair of split stainless steel exhaust clamps.

The exhausts have done 200miles max, and still look like brand new.

Gutted to sell, as they look awesome on the car, but too loud for me using the car every day.

£SOLD

how did you find the silencer inserts rob????

I found they made a big difference to the drone, more so once warmed up. Still loud though, although I don't know how much of this is due it being a coupe

Wow, spooky :?

I was watching the TG & Fifth Gear M reviews on YouTube this evening, and then the sidebar sucked me in and I spent a good 20mins watching vids of Zs with these on. I think I fell in love a little... But came to the conclusion you have, in that driving every day it would just be too much. Which made me sad. And this thread just tried to undo my sadness... Fortunately I don't have £650 knocking about right now :D

I'm tempted too Bing, but I'd worry about failing track day noise tests, not to mention how my neighbours would react to being woken up late at night or early in the morning

The neighbours can piss off - anyway, the one next door is 67 and going deaf, and the opposite neighbours are bikers who love the sound of my car starting up... Mrs Bing might not be so pleased with a minor earthquake directly under the bedroom at 5.30am though

It would just get too much when driving in an ordinary fashion a lot of the time. Awesome for a weekend car though... Where's srhutch - I'd just drive behind him at meets :driving:

If I had the money Bing I would be on these.
Same!!! And Bing ... Mrs B might enjoy a alight earthquake in the morning, there's a first for everything.

These could make a quad for anon m car fairly easy? Its basically how i did mine. Making very small back boxes so that i could keep the battery box where it was and complete. There would be a bit of fabrication work plumbing it all up. Just saying it might open up the size of the market for you Rob

the best bit about these is probably the construction and light weight of them, they look absolutely awesome too, but the noise is no daily driver setup. FWIW these will pass 105db static tests but if you have a free flow section 1 these come in at 110db, the silencers take them back down to 99db. These are track usable, your ear drums will bleed with the drone however!

I was deliberately specific when I said "under" (where the garage is), not "in"

Was in a convo with Rob on these....I'd take them if I could first see a decent video or another Z4M with a set on, just hesitant with all the reviews that they are too much for day to day.

What do you mean by decent video mate? There's plenty of clips on youtube (quite a few of my own as well) but it's still really different in person.

Angelus where are you located? I'm always happy to show mine to someone if local so you can get a good idea before you buy. I use mine daily and can cope with it but some may find it too loud.

If you're anywhere between/near north Hertfordshire and Peterborough I'd like to take you up on that offer - videos are never an accurate representation, and people write about it being 'biblically loud' so I'd like to hear it first hand before I buy

I heard a M coupe on a track day with the RPI's on and it was loud...

But depending on how you use your car then it liveable......

The Hayward and Scott backboxes and X pipe on mine make a fair racket....Not as loud as the RPI's though, but all the pops, bangs and crackles more than make up for any downsides..
