Anyone know these Z4M R's?
Hi all,
Very new here and looking for a Z4m Roadster, so wanted if anyone knew these cars?
Interlagos blue 06 at Lotus Silverstone.....I think i read a post on a separate thread that said it was scratched, swirled and even had a seized calliper, so i am guessing this is a no.
Imola red 06 at Newhall cars on the Wirral. Don't know a think about it and will chat to the dealer on Monday, but anyone any comments?
Kind regards,
Mark

Hi Mark,
The Silverstone car has been written about on here a few times. I saw the car a few weeks back when I went to look at an Evora. Its not the best example and certainly not a patch on my Interlargos paint wise however it wouldn't take much effort to bring the paint up to showroom standard and sort out any other niggles for a nice car - note I haven't opened it up nor driven it. They have had it for a while so may be open to a deal - Amy would be good to talk to there
Check that the Red one isn't the Red MR that pops up at various dealers after not selling as its a shiter! Again there have been posts about this car.
Does the silvergrey one for sale on here not interest you (nothing to do with me etc)

Sorry for the OT question, but I have to know: How was the Evora?Simon_P wrote:Hi Mark,

It was very nice. Like a grown up Elise with room inside. Didn't feel big, ride and handling on another planet just so connected to the road and driver. Brakes are something unreal! Fit and finish not far off the Z on the couple of models I have been in. This one needed a bit of glue on the door card. Considering its 'only' 276bhp it felt fast enough (this one had the sports pack) certainly didn't feel slow. I actually prefer the interior of the older cars over the newer models apart from the gear knob which can be changed for the sports racer one. I really feel that this will be my next car move just waiting until cars fall below £30k which should be within the next 12 months or so.ItHurts wrote:Sorry for the OT question, but I have to know: How was the Evora?Simon_P wrote:Hi Mark,

The only downside for me was no roof removal

I looked at the Interlagos Blue one before I bought mine 6 months ago. Condition was pretty poor compared to others and if I remember rightly, it didn't have Bluetooth which was a must for me or the upgraded stereo.
You would be better off buying from an enthusiast on here rather than a garage that doesn't specialise in them. The majority of them will probably be in much better condition.

I drove the Silverstone one, infact, it was me who drove it when the caliper seized.
It was the FD of Silverstones car for a while, hardly used for a while, when he was driving it in, he hit something and it tore the underside apart a bit. New exhaust etc
Fair few scratches on a few panels too. Mileage is pretty much 60k too.
For the money, and the condition it wasn't worth it, and the trade is wasn't any good either.

Re: Anyone know these Z4M R's?
Cheers guys.
I followed the red one at auction, the plate was YY06 something, the red one i am looking at is on a private plate and different milage. HPI checks out on it as well. I should get scanned service book shortly as well, so that will help.
I think the blue one is a no, just sounds like a lot of work when better exist.
Private is a good idea, but i have a trade in that 1 would like to use, hence dealers. That said we buy any car etc might be an option.
No rush.

What is it you need to sell?
as possibly open to a part exchange as my circumstances dictate I need to sell.

I have a 1993 ferrari Mondial T coupe in Blu Medio. Epic family GT, but not a sports car. Kids no longer come out as much so want to get back to sports cars.

With you 100%, loved the one I drove but no top-down action, so guess will have to wait for the prices to come down on one of these:

Which I want very much indeed. Not that I'm looking to change my MR yet, but the timings might be just about perfect

Re: Anyone know these Z4M R's?
I am so undecided on these. One day I think lovely the next err no. I am not sure whether it needs the spoiler on the rear. Then I think lets get the exige and just get the roof kit and have the best of both worlds. Even in the flesh I am not sure. The rear just doesn't seem quite right, it's just not as pretty as the last of the line Exiges before it. I also think the wheels are a little fussy. However driving one makes me forget all that as it absolutely flies for me it will be an Evora and I will just have to drive with the windows downItHurts wrote:
