Final fair-well

Some of you might have seen that i had my MC up for sale - well got it sold privately finally after a few weeks.

Turns out it was a Dealer who contacted me about it. Actually it was the same buyer scotia_steve74 sold his to just by chance. Got a fair price for her more that the other dealers in my area were offering.
To be honest the best price i got quoted was from webuyanycar.com !! However ..... when it came to the day to hand over i got a call from the manager of the drop off site to say that in fact they had made a mistake and they have 6 MC already that arent selling so they cant make an offer on mine.

That explains why my ads had to change, i had listed that it was going on x date so get in quick, but after that date it was still for sale. Could have raise a few suspicions with buyers putting some off, but i couldn't exactly spell out what had happened putting me in a weaker position.

Still all sorted now. I understand it will be listed at £26500 odd down Bristol way - someone could have saved a few £k on that.

Here's a little parting pic ....

I have enjoyed every minute of the Z and this forum has been great. Thank you to all. Will keep coming back to see if anyone on here ends up with her . YF07 WBL. Would like to know where she ends up.

Thats appalling re: webuyanycar! Bloody hell!

Shame to see it go, but nice one re: the RS4! Lovely!

I also sold my car to the same people as scotia!

Josh did mention that a recent seller of a MC drove a very hard deal and seemed to thrive on the negotiations - was it you? Fair play if it was.

Dear god have you seen how much they have listed my car for!!

They will never get that ££ and if someone does pay it then they should be kicking themselves for how much they could have bought it for direct. I had it listed at £23k. It needed nothing done to it and had a year of warranty left - brake fluid and inspection 1 required in about 4k but that's nothing in comparison.

Should never have looked ...

Still, some satisfaction from the fact that the guy who drove it down got caught speeding :D

It`ll be stolen by a Caerdid boyo.
Sytner Cardiff - worse BMW dealer i`ve ever used. They weren`t that bad but all other dealer experiences have been very good.
Stilll that`s a big markup.

Price does seem high, but I'm all for BMW keeping the prices up and availability staying low. The way it's going I should have at least a year of depreciation free motoring, which has never happened to me before!

How's the RS4 by the way? That is one car I would be happy to swap the Z4MC for?

It’s bloody marvellous. Fantastic and very easy car to drive compared to the constant attention the M required. I used the M as my daily ride and I guess just got a bit tired with it around town and negotiating around the many pot holes in Glasgow. Would love to have one as my second car ££! The RS is totally different in this respect less harsh suspension, smoother gear change and you can drive slowly around town quite comfortably while still having massive performance when required. Part of the character of the M I know but the RS suits my current needs better.

The way most dealers are pricing the M is good news for you lot especially after the massive hit they took from new. About time they gave something back.
